What is Risnahol?
Risna is the Old Norse word for great hospitality. Hol is the word for Viking hall. The hol, was the heart of viking culture, and that is where service starts. Risnahol is the name of the hol of Baron Ragnulfr Ornolfson and Baroness Freydis Rodmarsdottir. It is named this way because of how important hospitality is to both Vikings. They would serve any that come into the hol for food, drink, rest and to warm themselves and their heart at the hearth. This site’s purpose is to allow them to track their works, blog their interest and have a place to invite to join them in these endeavors.
